The Lake George Winter Carnival has celebrated Adirondack wintertime family fun outdoor activities since 1961. Every Saturday and Sunday in February winter enthusiasts enjoy watching, cheering and supporting the the cook-offs, the races and tournaments on the ice.

The Opening Ceremonies, and the parade along Canada Street take place on the first weekend.

Throughout the month every Saturday and Sunday we will have the Polar Plunge, pony rides, helicopter rides, Human Foosball Tournament at The Garrison, horse drawn carriage rides, Lake George Dog's Got Talent Show, children's activities, ATV wagon rides for the kids and face painting.

Every Saturday hit the Hot Chocolate Bar at the Beach, and/or make S'mores at the Beach and you have to stay for fireworks.

Every Sunday is MYO (Make Your Own) Sundae. Oh what YUM!

Some of the great fun at the Carnival features Outhouse Races; Chili Cook-off; 4 x4 truck races and ATV scavenger hunt/Poker run; ice diving demonstrations and the always popular chowder cook-off and chicken cook-off competitions and Glacier Golf Tournament. These are subject to changes.
