You don’t need to spend money to have a great time at events around the region. A wide variety are completely free and fun to attend!
No matter where you are in the Lake George Area, you’ll likely hear tunes floating on the warm summer breeze. That’s because each town hosts a free, weekly summer concert series. Just pack your lawn chairs and head to the park for a live musical experience to be enjoyed by all. Another highlight of summer are the Thursday Night Fireworks over Lake George. A spectacular display that can be seen from almost anywhere in the Village at no cost.
In September, hot air balloonists and avid spectators gather for the Adirondack Balloon Festival. A free to attend, multi-day celebration featuring dozens of vibrant balloons in a variety of fun shapes and characters taking flight at sunset and sunrise.
And, with the spring thaw, comes the return of Thurman Maple Days. During the month of March, maple producers welcome visitors to tour their sugar houses and sample their confections.
These are just a few of the fun and free events that can be found in the Lake George Area year-round, and there are plenty more that won’t make a dent in your vacation budget!
